Sometimes I capture an image that just makes me grin from ear to ear and this is one of them! We just bought Grayson a new pair of Aviator Sunglasses and I have to say, he looks pretty stylish in them. Personally I think he should be modeling for Gap Kids or something but for now we’ll stick to modeling for Mamma Incorporated

I saw this amazing post from Stacey Worthington about how she took her DSLR with her to the grocery store to get some shots of her kids. Naturally she also got some nasty shots from onlookers wondering what in gods name she was doing. I decided to try the same thing and just like Stacey, I got the looks! But I didnt mind because afterall, this is my life, as I live it!

To start the holiday season off right we decided to carve a few pumpkins from our garden…Actually, Jay did most of the carving while Grayson and I looked on! Either way it was fun and made for a good excuse to capture some shots of all three of us!

My name is Lani and for as long as I can remember I have been in love with photography and decided its about time I started blogging about this passion of mine. My specialty is photographing children & families. I consider my style to be more of a lifestyle portraitist in that I love capturing images that are unscripted, images that stop time, that capture true emotion and really tell a story.  I’m not that photographer that says ” Look at the camera and say cheese ! ” Children are very unpredictable and I enjoy capturing those silly moments that really show a child’s personality.

I also consider myself a lifetime student in that I’m always yearning to learn more and more about this field. I love reading fellow photographers blogs and learning new techniques. I’m constantly reading articles regarding photography and practicing on my Canon EOS. This is a profession where you can never stop learning and growing your talent.
